A Note From Randal and Donna

We just returned from a trip to Chattanooga getting to visit with some of our Sunshine Family which included our sponsors, Louise and Charlie Allred, Robin and Steve Snelgrove from Atlanta, and John and Roxanne Howlett from Tennessee.

There’s nothing more uplifting than being with friends.  Our NSP memories and group is a continual topic of conversation and joy to us both.

You can stay more in touch with what’s going on in my life via my new blog, The Nature In Us.  Since natural health, nature, pets and God are all a part of who I am, the blog will be posts of things I find of interest on these topics, along with some personal writing.

New Products Are Ready To Go

    Super Trio Nutrition Package

Each packet of Super Trio offers powerful, effective doses of three potent Nature’s Sunshine formulas. Taken together, these proprietary blends offer a nutritious combination of essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants – each an important component of daily nutrition, vitality, and longevity.

This product is perfect for:

• Regular users of common one-a-day vitamins
• People reluctant to try an herbal program
• People looking for a convenient nutritional program

Each packet of Super Trio contains one Super ORAC (new, powerful antioxidant formula) one Super Supplemental Vitamins & Minerals (without iron) and one Super Omega 3 (provides essential EPA and DHA).

RG-Max is a great tasting, advanced formula that contains 5 grams of l-arginine per serving, plus additional ingredients that may enhance its cardiovascular benefits. RG-MAX supplies the nutrients needed to boost energy levels and blood flow throughout the body, helps protect against cardiovascular aging and supports the cardiovascular system.  In the body,l-arginine is converted to nitric oxide (NO), which causes relaxation of blood vessels, and regulates blood vessel tone and flexibility.

90-Day Challenge Is Now Discontinued

Super-Trio will now replace the current 90-Day Challenge product packs.  Super-Trio will become the focus of NSP’s core nutrition efforts, being called the "Super-Trio Habit-of-Health" program.  There are special bonuses available for Legacy sponsors and Classic sponsors and sign-ups will be compensated according to the current Classic plan.  Get more details on this promotion at the NSP website or from Customer Service.

Untold Truth Seminar Comments From Attendee

Robin Sockness attended the Atlanta Untold Truth seminar that NSP provides around the country.  I asked her to share comments about it and really appreciate that she took the time to let us in on what’s happening at this year’s seminars:

"There were about 100 folks there I would guess.  Four topics covered: Chinese Medicine, America Stressed Out, Running on Empty, The Diabetes Epidemic.  I enjoyed the wait till they started…they had some of the new NSP music sound bytes going and a video shwoing herb trivia about herb gardening, and that was right up my alley.  Interspursed with that were pictures from conventions.

Jon Terry shared his story with how he began with NSP.  He’s been with them as an employee for 2.5 years, but has used the products for many years.  Cindy Klement, from Ann Arbor, Michigan was the speaker.  Next year, she announced, there will be all new modules…that’s cool!

When she was on the Running On Empty segment, she was talking about the minimum daily requirements for vitamins and such and she said that RDA stood for Really Dumb Amounts.  I loved that!

Books she recommended that I thought sounded really good for people new to healthy living:
"Food Additives" by Ruth Winter
"Unreasonable Risk" by Dr. Samuel Epstein
"The Detox Diet" by Elson Haas, MD
"The Second Brain" by Dr. Michael Gershorn
This book discusses how we have more nerves in our gut than in our spinal cord and he discusses how our health and emotions really do come from our "gut."

She also suggested checking out some websites:,  and

She also touched a bit in Xylitol and gave us some great tools on it, a newspaper type flyer and a great brochure.  We didn’t talk much about it, but it is one of the modules that people could purchase.

Any orders placed at the seminar got 10% off and you still got full QV…what a deal!  Sound Concepts offered a great deal on all their materials, buy 3 and get 1 free or free shipping, plus you get the book Sweet Death.

I was the person there who had been with NSP the longest – 25 years!  How about that!

I think for 20 bucks, you get hundreds of dollars worth of education and I just can’t imagine me missing out on it.  This was my second time attending.  I enjoy the new topics each year. The materials alone are invaluable for anyone who wants to do one-on-one business building.  In the package, we all got the Untold Truth Series Resource CD where you can print out the slides used and all the materials to use for putting on your own herbal hours or training.

Setting Goals

"Discipline is the bridge between your goals and accomplishments." — Jim Rohn

Ben Franklin developed in himself 13 virtues that he deemed would lead to a successful life.  He gained every single one of them because he worked on one at a time.  When he mastered one, only then would he work on mastering another … and old Ben was one of the most respected men in history.

We could learn a lot from this list of his 13 virtues.  They can be divided into personal virtues and social virtues.

Personal virtues relate to attitudes toward tasks and the challenges associated with them.  Personal character will determine your success of achieving the goals you set for yourself:

Cleanliness: Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, cloths, or habitation.

Frugality: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.

Industry: Lose no time; be always employed in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.

Moderation: Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.

Order: Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.

Resolution: Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
Temperance: Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.

Tranquility: Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.

Regarding social virtues, Ben listed that which would provide the kind of character that would enhance your business dealings and your personal relationships.

Chastity: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation.

Humility: Imitate Jesus and Socrates.

Justice: Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.

Silence: Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.

Sincerity: Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.

News in Our Sunshine Family

We’ve just lost our great virtual assistant, Christina Tarman, but she’s still part of our Sunshine Family as a Manager.  Her wedding is only a few weeks away and she has decided to go into teaching.  She needed more hours than we could provide.  Our loss, her gain!  It’s grand to watch the younger generation apply their own dreams and goals to their lives.

Randal’s been very busy with the extra work load and training a new person for the tasks that Christina did.

Robin has been having quite a few playmates overnight for KaeJae, their new housemate.  She’s involved with the local shelter which is her passion.  It’s easy to see why Robin focused on pets for her NSP business.

Nathan and Kelley Howlett have added a new manager to their group in August.  Congratulations!
